College for Kids is a summer program of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education department Education Outreach & Partnerships
In 2009 College for Kids was offered from June 23-July 9.
The Language Institute coordinated
A is for Apple, M is for Manzana, and я is for яблоко
Fifth graders from around Dane County explored their world through language! Each day, they learned about a different language and culture.
Carolina Bailey, graduate student in the Department of Linguistics and the Doctoral Program in Second Language Acquisition, served as facilitator and taught Spanish and French. Guest presenters introduced students to diverse world languages:
