Lincoln Elementary School Third graders visit campus
Third-grade students of Marc Kornblatt and Lisa Weaver from Madison's Lincoln Elementary visited campus on Friday, September 25 for a "sounds of UW" tour. Having first visited the carillon, students and their adult chaperones and teachers came to Van Hise to hear the sounds of several different languages. They visited Arabic, Chinese, French, Japanese, Norwegian, and Yoruba classes, then experienced a Russian cartoon and song with Language Institute outreach coordinator Wendy Johnson. A good time was had by all!
We would like to thank the following instructors who opened their classes to our visitors:
Sami Alkyam (Arabic)
Peggy Hager (Norwegian)
Ying Liu (Chinese)
Malick Mbengue (French)
Kazeem Sanuth (Yoruba)
Jun Xu (Japanese)
Coordinated by the UW-Madison Language Institute
